Realme GT 7 5G

The Realme GT 7, launched in China on April 23, 2025, and set for its global debut on May 27, 2025, is a formidable addition to Realme’s GT series, blending cutting-edge technology with a sleek design to cater to performance enthusiasts and tech-savvy users. This flagship device, also available as the Realme GT 7 Dream Edition in select markets like India, is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, a 3nm TSMC processor with a 3.73 GHz peak clock speed, ensuring blazing-fast performance for multitasking, gaming, and demanding applications.

Paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, the GT 7 delivers seamless operation and ample storage for apps, media, and games. Running on Android 15 with Realme UI 6.0, the device offers a smooth, customizable user interface with AI-enhanced features like the GT Performance Engine 2.0, which optimizes gaming with native 144 FPS support for 13 popular mobile titles and a 1.5K+144 FPS super-resolution mode. The Realme GT 7 is priced competitively, starting at CNY 2,599 (approximately ₹30,400 or $355) for the 12GB+256GB variant, with the top-tier 16GB+1TB model at CNY 3,799 (roughly ₹44,500), while the expected Indian price is around ₹49,990.

The Realme GT 7 boasts a 6.8-inch 1.5K (2800x1280) LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 6,500 nits, making it one of the brightest screens available, ideal for outdoor visibility. The display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, features a 1.3mm ultra-narrow bezel, 120% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 4608Hz ultra-high-frequency PWM dimming for eye comfort. Its Skycom Communication System 2.0 and AI signal tracking technology enhance connectivity, supporting 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. The phone also includes quad-band Beidou, dual-frequency GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and NavIC for precise navigation.

For photography, the Realme GT 7 features a triple-camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor (f/1.8, OIS) for sharp, detailed shots, an 8MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.2, 112° FOV), and a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom (Samsung JN5 sensor). The 32MP front camera (f/2.4) excels in selfies and video calls, supporting 1080p recording at 30/60 FPS. The HyperImage+ AI technology enhances image processing, though the ultra-wide camera’s performance is noted as average.

The device’s standout feature is its massive 7,200mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, capable of a full charge in approximately 40 minutes. However, reviews note a higher-than-average battery drain during gaming, with a 16% drop in 30 minutes of BGMI gameplay, suggesting room for optimization. The GT 7’s thermal management, aided by a 7,700mm² graphene ice-sensing cooling system, keeps temperatures at 43.9°C under load, though sustained heavy usage may trigger thermal throttling. With an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and an IR blaster, the Realme GT 7 combines durability, performance, and versatility in a 203g, 8.3mm-thick body, available in Blue, White, and Black.
