Huawei Watch 5

The Huawei Watch 5, launched in May 2025, is a premium smartwatch that blends futuristic design with advanced health and fitness tracking, powered by HarmonyOS. Available in two sizes—46mm and 42mm—it caters to diverse style preferences with aerospace-grade titanium or 316L/904L stainless steel cases. The 46mm variant offers Purple, Silver, and Black finishes, while the 42mm comes in Beige, Sand Gold, White, and Green. Its sleek, Kármán line-inspired design features spherical sapphire glass and a ceramic back, ensuring durability and elegance. The watch is equipped with a 1.5-inch (46mm) or 1.32-inch (42mm) LTPO AMOLED display, boasting 466 x 466 resolution, up to 3000 nits brightness, and always-on display (AOD) functionality for vibrant, clear visuals.

The standout feature is the HUAWEI X-TAP sensor, a compact module integrating ECG, PPG, and a 10-level tactile sensor. It enables real-time fingertip SpO2 measurement in 10 seconds and a Health Glance feature, delivering 11 health metrics (heart rate, SpO2, ECG, HRV, arterial stiffness, stress, respiratory health, skin temperature, and sleep breathing awareness) in 60 seconds. These features are for reference only, not medical use. The watch supports over 100 sports modes, accurate GPS tracking, and gesture controls for alarms, calls, and music. It also offers eSIM calling, Wi-Fi 6, and compatibility with iOS and Android.

With a 5 ATM and IP69 water resistance rating, it supports shallow water activities and freediving up to 40 meters (EN13319 certified). The 867 mAh battery delivers up to 3 days (46mm) or 2 days (42mm) in Standard mode, or 2 days (46mm) and 1.5 days (42mm) with AOD enabled. Battery saver mode extends usage further. Charging is via a 10W wireless HUAWEI SuperCharger, fully charging in 60–90 minutes. Sensors include accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, optical heart rate, barometer, ambient light, body temperature, ECG, depth, and tactile sensors.

Weighing 48–63g (46mm) or 35–51g (42mm), it offers strap options like fluoroelastomer, composite, and Milanese. Priced at approximately $499, it includes a 3-month HUAWEI Health+ membership. Despite limited third-party app support in Western markets, its premium build, vibrant display, and robust health tracking make it a top choice for style-conscious fitness enthusiasts.
