Samsung is gearing up to unveil at least two new foldables and two smartwatches at next month’s Galaxy Unpacked event. One of those wearables—the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic—has already surfaced online, thanks to an eBay listing of a prototype, giving us an early look at its design and features.
Galaxy Watch 8 Classic: Rotating Bezel Meets Squircle Design
Ahead of its official debut, a prototype of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic (model number SM-L505U) has been spotted online for $202.5. This appears to be the LTE variant for the U.S., featuring a chunky 46mm silver metal case paired with a black stitched leather strap.
The design stands out for blending a rotating bezel—a fan-favorite feature—with a squircle-shaped body, similar to the Galaxy Watch Ultra. On the right side, the watch sports three physical buttons, while the left features a large speaker grill. Notably, it lacks standard strap connectors, meaning you won't be able to swap bands as easily as with previous Galaxy Watch models.
Big on Storage and Familiar Internals
One major upgrade? 64GB of internal storage—twice as much as the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. Under the hood, it’s expected to run on the same Exynos W1000 chip, and boot up with Wear OS 6 skinned with One UI 8 Watch.
Expected Features
- 1.5-inch circular Super AMOLED display with AOD
- Sapphire crystal glass for durability
- Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC, dual-frequency GPS
- 10W wireless charging
- Comprehensive health sensors: heart rate, SpO2, ECG, skin temperature, and more
With its bold mix of classic and modern design, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic could become one of Samsung’s most distinctive smartwatches yet.
